Amazing, in NZ the reporter would say something like "at least the kitesurfer is making something positive out of this and enjoying themselves"

Such a difference in culture!

My fave comment "that windsurfer has no idea what they are dealing with, that is a nuclear hurricane"

I would have thought the News networks was in a precarious legal situation with it's reporter out there in Nuclear Wind!!!

Looked like the guy was on an 8m or 10m kite. Looked like bouncy but fun conditions.

Media...distorted truths to create nothing more than fear for the owning elites to control. Has been and will always be the way.

To the guy kiting...legend.

He looks underpowered on the tt. Shoulda been foiling that epic swell on a shitty foil trainer kite :thumb:
Love the comments about bodi going out for the surf of death (point break that is if your a millenial) and all the windsurf comments almost as laughable as the brain dead reporters

Nice....I'm from Naples, eye passed dead nuts over my house. My Mom was in town and she couldn't take the stress so we are in the Villages too and I can't believe we still have power at 1am. Blowing 60knot gusts currently. If we still here Tuesday morning I'll grab a coffee with u if u want.

There's some carnage in Naples, had limited texts, but heard my neighborhood may be decent. There's a community that caught the right side of the eye wall that got beat up from a few pics I've seen. Gonna be a surreal experience driving back.

The irony is that the reporter on the beach is more at risk from the storm surge than the kiter

Seeing the underpowered kiter and the reporters hair was only being blown around a bit, to me looked like about 25 knots.
