After having a few close falls near the hydrofoil I was wondering what peoples experiences are of accidents hydrofoiling?

- Falling on the wing while learning to waterstart with a foil (putting too much back foot pressure is the beginner common mistake). No cut on the body thankfully but the board short was ripped out.
- Falling on the mast during a jibe with marginal wind condition (balance on the foil is more challenging when the wind is very light even for an advanced foil board rider). Small cut near the elbow though.
- The foil came to hit my knee after a wipeout in strong wind. Cut on the knee. Thankfully not too deep.
- Many scary situations with the foil board in the lines.
- Seeing the foil coming close to your head while underwater. No kite involved. I was on the foil towed behind a jet ski. Not hurt but very scary.
This over 3 years and about 500 foiling sessions.

Foil in the lines as well. Happened once only (~30 sessions), but the scariest of all. Would be interested to learn the best practices:
1. Prevention (to minimize the chance of this happening).
2. Suppose the foil is in the lines.
3. Try releasing the board and not accidentally loop the kite (it did in my experience). Would releasing the kite at step #2 be safer option?

I got the foil stuck in the lines, 5m kite on a windy day. Kite looped hard before I had a chance to do anything. I decided to release safety right away but the bar hit the foil and kite continued to loop. I released second safety but as I did realized my board and kite would be gone so I just held onto the leash line. My only choice was to grab one line and pull in the kite. Ended up with small cut but all went ok.
I've run into the lines a few other times but always been able to untangle before having trouble.
I've smashed my shins on the board so many times I wear shin guards now.

happened a few times, foil stuck in the lines, kite powers up, release CL, bar not able to go all the way, kite death loops...scary. (especially in stronger wind)
Im not mentioning the hits and cuts that is just annoying.

Foil stuck in the lines seems often, i also had it.
Releasing safety makes little sense (as with all death loops) , actually makes things worse...
It's instinctive but your logic must fight it.
Best thing is to grab a single line and pull until you flag the kite on it

are you sure it would work?
I have Bandit's, so a little sceptical...
