Hey Chicken, have you tried the Free? I'd think it'd have less wind range than XR5...but looks like a nice simple wing.ChickenD!ken wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2017 7:10 amDon’t waste your time with North, F-One, LF, Best or Cabrinha. XR5 or Free from Core or Ozone’s Catalyst. They are pretty much the only two respectable brands left. Everyone else just wants to sell you stuff you don’t need. Or, see if you can try out the PS from new brand Eleveight. Reasonably priced and thus far has only had great reviews..
I have (13.5m). Great beginner option, nice fat 3-strut wing and very stable. Yes less wind range but you never lose touch with the kite at any point. The only problem the Free has is that between the XR5 and the Section2 (faster turning dedicated wave kite) it’s hard to see it filling any niche apart from that specific beginner/progression segment. And even there, I would say the XR is so versatile that you could easily go with that as your beginner kite. I haven’t tried the light wind versions but I imagine it must be a comfortable cruise.alford wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:49 amHey Chicken, have you tried the Free?
