Hi Mago
Thanks for all of your good answers, I've previously written to naish, and they replied, that 2017 and 2018 are the same kite. But okay, the reason why they say that, might be, that they do not want to admit 2017 was a mistake....... you are sailing with torch 2018?

Hi mago

At 2018 torch how much do you add on the 5th line to 12 and 14, and how much at the 10. Thanks

great. that's about right. maybe even a lil more.check that when flying at 12 (without pulling the bar), the 5th does not stay pulled but has some slack. :bye:

But what about the Torch 2018, you said, that you use two bars with different lengths, how much do you add on 5th line on the 12 and 14, also at 10 meters?

So you still can't fly this kite straight out of the box! Glad naish don't make computers you'd get keyboards without buttons

I rode them from 2005 to 2017 and parted with my friendship with the kite last season, they were great but the changes in 2017 were for the worse in my opinion.
Reading that in 2018 they made the same kite as 2017 and you still have to work out the 5th line issue for yourself doesn't say much about the company or their research and development, they should focus on one complete finished product and stop rushing out equipment every year to compete in the rat race.

My first Torch was a 2006 and my newest was a 2015. My 2015 broke and I have a Vegas now.

For me, trimming the 5th line is part of riding a Torch. It's not that hard. Just make it shorter or longer until you find the right tension, and then adjust as the lines stretch. Pretty much the same as the other lines.

No kite flies out of the box. You have to unwrap it, right? and pump it, and trim the lines, including the 5th line.
