The new sizes are 7 and 9 using the AR of the 8m.

Well I like posting in public so that others can add too or read. The PM's I get have been quite interesting, mostly people asking for help in private, I have over 12 posts each way with one person recently that would have made a good thread.

I think to make better posts stand out the thanks button is helping but maybe it could evolve further. Another option is a Wiki. Quite a few things are getting repeated and a wiki may be better than searching and scanning through posts.

Maybe it is because I can read reasonably fast but I have no issue with the long posts from others. If I scan into something and find it worthless I will sometimes just skip over it. I only actually take interest in about 5-10% of thread titles, but some of those can be quite long and unending.

The forum overall is quite interesting to me. There is quite a mix of people here and they all contribute something in differing ways. Even things like memes from Pullstrings aimed at me I can find fun. I have enjoyed many of your contributions Adventure Logs, particularly a few of the videos I have watched.

Thanks!
I also enjoy your posts and find them useful and informative. I guess my complaint is more with the discussions with another forum member who mostly posts about claims /brags that seem only to be useful to toot his own horn so to speak.

I'll be asking you for some advice in the near future. My 10m Soul has a tendency to taco on the extreme low end, especially on landing or putting it in the drink so I'll be diving into the PMA's and see if I can tune some of that tendency out. My 6m never has this problem so I think a couple tweaks are in order. I absolutely love the 6m on the hydrofoil and would really like to get the 10m on the same level.

whats the smallest soul you can get now plz
6m. It’s my favorite hydrofoil kite.
Any thoughts on 6m Soul v Peak 4 (any of the 5m and below sizes)?

I have got the 10m and 6m Soul and the 6m is great on the hydrofoil. It feels a bit too small for me on the twin tip but I can hang on to the 10m for ages and, more importantly, hardly ever go out on the twin tip these days. I am interested in the Peaks though as the drift on the 6m Soul is one of the reasons that I like it so much. I assume the Peak would take this to a new level and it would probably be softer over all with less power?

Yes the Peak like all single skins drifts well.

I have never used PMAs to help with this problem , I have no kites with them, though they can certainly be used to help. I have usually only extended Z to fix this and tip collapse on kites. It is that simple.

I do a variety of other things, the main being extending the depower on the mixer and then occasionally testing out little things. When kites become porous they can collapse more but Z being too tight is the main problem.

Hopefully flysurfer adopts a new mixer and adjusting Z and the depower limit becomes standard. There is a strong argument that no adjustment is better than how they do it now, as the "mixer test" tends to adjust in the wrong way.

So, nobody's talked about Souls in here much lately. I'll bring up a topic. I have two Souls now, a 6 and 10m. I think there's sort of a big gap there. Sure, the low end on the 6m overlaps with the high end on the 10m, but if you like to ride fairly powered up, when it gets windy you switch down from a pretty powered up 10m to a kinda under-powered 6m. If I had an 8m, it would make this jump a lot less drastic.

On the other hand, if I added a 15, for 6-10-15, I should have an improved bottom end. I currently can ride the 10m down to 9 knots or so if the wind is very steady, but it's much more fun in 12-16 knots. Maybe a 15 would bring some more of that powered up excitement down to the 8-12 knot range.

Then, on the 3rd hand, maybe I could do something between these, and trade my 10m for a 9m and get a 12m, and have 6-9-12. This would collapse the ranges a bit, and also extend the bottom end downward a bit.

What's your ideal Soul three-kite quiver?

Note: All of this is based on enjoying a "powered up" style of hydrofoiling.

Is that quiver for twintip riding?

I have the 8m and just bought a 9m . The 9m has a very good bottom end and would fit nicely.
Rather than a 15 - you could just throw some line extensions on your 12m.
Sometimes a faster moving kite is more useful..

For foiling I don't need and want a bigger kite as the 12m, it's almost to big for foiling.. but it floats nicely in my gusty homespot winds, a set of Peaks would probably fit me better for the foiling but for my son and ocaisionally me on a TT the 12 is top. We indeed mis an 8m.. so for a 3 kit quiver 6, 9, 12 would be better. My personal best would be 6,8,10,12. (and some Peaks.. )
