Tulum kite sizes - 9m needed?

Postby Osprey1 » Wed Jan 16, 2019 12:56 am

I’m heading to Tulum and have a 12m mono, a foil and a twintip packed. Is there any need to bring a 9m? Does it ever blow over 22mph this time of year?

I have the exact same question. I’m heading down late December 2019.

I have a 12m Mono and a 145cm TT.
Should I even bother bringing my 9m?

I went to Tulum two years ago in January for three weeks.
I was foiling on a 12m and twin tipping on a 15m Airush Ultra.
Not sure what the wind history is like but if I went again I’d just take the foil board , a 12m and 9m .

I go to the riviera almost every winter.
12 and 9 would be good. There are 9 m days there.
I usually bring my 12 and 10 for twintip.
Last year I only took the 12 and was fine most days the last day I could have used a 10.
