i don't know why you'd say the Rocket is not a good board. yes, it's heavy. but i learned on it, have tried a bunch of other boards, and don't see much of a difference. i still use it. i would NOT use the Dwarfcraft 3'6" as a beginner board.
Just not the Dwarfcraft 3'6" or any of the Dwarfcraft? The one I was considering was a 4'6".
yeah, i just meant the 3'6". nothing against Dwarfcrafts (i actually own the 3'6"), i just don't think of it as a beginner board due to its size. it's a lot harder to start on for me and i only use it with a shorter mast in flatter water. slight touchdowns can result in pearls on it much more so than the Rocket. of course one can adjust and adapt to any board, but if you're just beginning, makes sense to make things easiest on yourself.

I've ridden the Galaxy & Dwarfcraft, however I much prefer the new F-One Pocketboard 130. If buying new I would go with the F-One. :thumb:

How meny of you started with a Galaxy board?
That would be a rare demographic, to shell out for a premium board with zero foil experience... but I've loaned mine to true beginners and they've loved it ;)

For 2018, yes, the colors were dark, but nothing some decals can't fix. (4'8" size pictured)

I've ridden the first galaxy once, owned a slingshot DC 4-6, and tried a LF rocket once( see beginners using them here).
I would get the Galaxy. The slingshot has terrible rocker design. It seems to work with slingshot foils but didn't with my moses foils.
Lf rocket is heavy and a dog.
That said, I've fixed a LF happy foil board and other Lf surfboard and the construction is cheap. Slingshot has good construction, shame about design.

Also like their FUNNY FOIL, lots of marketing hype with very limited performance!
I feel sorry for SO many guys who bought said FUNNY foil only to find out what a P O S it really is!
