Hmm interesting input. I've been wondering if it's the tectanium lines that did the difference. I tried putting a steel ring with a larks head to one line yesterday to make it high V but not sure if it helped. Will have to try that again.

My guess would be poorly tuned bars vs a properly tuned bar. You will have a little less drag with a high Y vs a low V but I don't know how much of that you will feel. I never had a problem flying my XR's with my slingy bars. I am a little anal about keeping my bars tuned. I tune them every season and if I ever feel the slightest pull to one side I tune them. reminds me I have a set of pig tails that are off a little grr. Need to replace them.

So my wife when trying the kites out with a friends sensor 2 pro bar resulted in much lower bar pressure and faster turning.
Don't try to figure it out
Trust your wife's report
Make her happy
Buy her that same bar

There is no issue with bar tuning. I've tried the kites myself with the core bar. Haha will not buy a core bar for 600 euros :)

More bullshit.

Nothing to do with a Core bar per se. It may or may not be related to the Y position.

Best not look at my profile then.. or is it only someone with an OG start date/huge post/count brand affiliation that gets Your “respect”

did you try to play with the lengths? You may need extra knots on pigtails..
While both bars technically "equal length" bars when you do the usual test, the V vs Y geometry make them slightly different when the kite is flying..
So you'll need to compensate for that.. your kite will either be a bit depowered or choked (depending which way you go) so add knots on either steering or power pigtails..
