The ufo v1.1 was released by now. Anyone know what has changed?

My impression is SS is having to play catch up on what they have in the line up now. If this kite continues to have the fan base that I think it will, I would not be at all surprised to see some sizes added for next summer. If they add a 4 I am all over it, as would many others I think. Brilliant kites!

I have the 5 and 3 and there is a lot of space between them in terms of pull and flying speed,

I flew the 3m in too light wind yesterday and I was surprised I could get up but had to keep it moving (shining) to stay on foil

I was getting cold flying the 5m but not on the 3m.

Also I think it confirms my theory that the 7m would have better range if it was a bit faster (smaller leading edge?). Because that is a kite that can be hard to get up on it light wind but once you are on plane has a lot of pull.

Rode 7m back to back with 7m SST and I’m in love with UFO.
Feels so light (and lighter than SST) steering, and hangs out up there when riding a wave.
The 9m is heading my way :)

I love to hear reviews of people who already fly others light weight kites. I think a lots of comments here are from people experiencing lightweight kites for the first time... I can foil in less than 12 knots easily with a 6m Airush Ultra and 85 kg.

I demoed a 17m Cloud once and about same size Airush - first flew like utter piece of crap and airush was ok, just sat too deep in the wind window. Both were tested with a door, few years back. The Ghost was better but not ideal. UFO is really impressive

Well comparing a shitty 17m vs a zippy 4 or 6 is not fair. I also owned a 17 years ago and sold it quickly but bought a cloud 8 just a few weeks ago just for foiling.

What we are missing is a head to head comparison of the UFO and the current cloud IN THE SAME sizes - ideal same session. Well, add the gong to that for fun.

There are these comparisons on the Cloud Riders Facebook page. Pro’s and Con’s for both, some say the UFO is more powerful but the Cloud has slightly better drift. Clouds are slightly lighter but we are only talking a few grams.
I ride Clouds after riding Airush Ultra’s, comparing those is not fare as they are different use kites. The Clouds and UFO’s really are in a class of their own. A friend has a full quiver of UFO’s arriving shortly so I’m looking forward to comparing myself.
