I have the same QR, but I'm looking to replace it with something else in the future. Too bad that all the good alternatives for me aren't available as spare parts...

The release is good, but the swivel sucks. Like mentioned already, it's very hard to turn when under load.

Thanks for all the advice, It seems the swivel above the QR could be better. but overall a good Bar especially at the price.
The Dutch Dyneema lines are a selling point for me.
(pity about the Red, and Lime green ! Bar.)

Thanks again.

As others mentioned the QR is from kiteatitude, this brand sells bars direct so why not by from them ?
They have all the spare parts, easy to replace, sturdy, same kind of genuine stiff dyneema lines.
I had one I was happy with it

I think the below Clamcleat swivel replaces the "hard to turn" swivel you describe above.

No, I have the V2. There's just nothing like a bearing in the QR, so the plastic from the QR just wrappes around the swivel. It's only possible to twist when there's not too much tension on the system.

I have the plastic swivel so possibly the V1 and I can untwist it whilst riding along reasonably powered. There is a bit of a trick to it though. There are some grip ridges in the swivel so the best way is to turn you hand so your thumb and index finger are on the bottom and closest to the QR. In this position you can grip tightly enough to turn the swivel.

True enough the swivel (V2 alloy) was not spinning freely.
Had to pull a bit on the depower rope to reduce tension while turning it. :thumb:

The larger center hole to ensure clearance for the safety line means
larger diameter surfaces in contact btw swivel & body, hence more friction.

can't have it all, was not a major issue for me.
Alternatively a C..re bar at 600e includes a ceramic roller bearing :naughty:
A roller bearing doubling the price of the bar, I made my choice

I have Ozone bars with Infexion QR's and my old Slingshot "Centre of the Universe" swivels. Because the bar is so close to me if necessary I can just reach up and turn the swivel. Simple.

The more I look at the Kiteattitude website, the more I like the product. Spares seem easily available, 'proper' Dyneema lines, and the QR passes the relevant tests. Lots of options for bar width, line length, leader line length.
Downsides.. 'sticky' QR swivel, (but as Iriejohn says, the swivel is close, turn it by hand.) also the bar and trim pulley look a bit 'cheap' but I can live with that at the price... resale value is probably low, but good bargaining chip if you throw it in when selling that Second hand Kite !
