Be interesting to compare it to the other brands of self amalgamating tape you can get from the hardware store. Looks like a prettier version of the stuff I've used for temporary fixes on pipes in the past.

This stuff appears to be some sort of rubber strap like a rubber band. See the videos of him doing wraps.
I was thinking about worn out bars where the foam grip is deteriorating. Take off the old foam and replace it with the rubber wrap.
Or slide on some of this fishing rod grip or wrap. It's all over eBay and Amazon.

I have used the tape and the tubes for bike handle bars. It works great and it's soft and comfortable but you need a thin bar.

Wait who is this product supposed to be made for? I see that video I'm thinking there's a whole market for artesianal shanks?
