Flite 14.5 Aluula now sold.

Not holding my breath for when the Alpha V2 14m turns up ...
Thinking of getting a 14m for summer days on the surfboard when I'm at beaches a bit shallow to foil. Will keep an eye on the Alpha - have pivots and boxers ATM.
The manufacture date for my Alpha V2 14m (ordered on 6th April) is the second half of August, so should see it in early September.
:o so much time!

Latest is that the Ozone factory in Vietnam has had Covid lockdowns so hasn't been able to work flat out. Now looking at September/October for delivery. We shall see.

Hey Guys!!! I had a oportuny to try a Alpha V2 10m² on Twintip. I really liked a lot, didn't felt any flapping at all, loops are nice and jump well. I didn't had time to test on hydrofoil.

What a have to say about Catalyst V3, i tested 12m² on TT, 8m² and 6m² on HF. As my style is HF Waveriding this 6m² made my mind!! Such a joy. I do believe that 12m² should fit a lot of guys that are looking for a hibrid kite, low cost and focus on Hydrofoiling.

By the Way i Bought a Alpha 12m² to be my Demo Kite, my plan is show that one Strut kite are excelent choice for most of us.

Had just 3 rides on my HF (onda633) with new v2 10m .Range seems wider ,top and bottom end.Less bar pressure, faster turning ,less flap. Not a massive difference from v1 which I still have but seems smoother .

I have had the Alpha V2 in 10 and 12mtr, used to own the v1 which was very good on my foil board but a let down on a Ttip, little boost ability and flappy in strong winds needed on a ttip
the v2 is way less flappy, noticeably more robust, and yes its a tad more heavy, but its much better on a Ttip it actually will boost now, not high but ok, the 10mtr is fun on a foil, big fun! the settings for wave or freestyle can, and do make a huge difference to the feel from the bar, I hate heavy feeling kites, and quickly changed the setting to freestyle and it was a joy for me to use, light and responsive, hunting the front of the window felt much better on the foil.
then I got a chance to compare my 10mtr back to back with the Core nexus 2 - 9mtr,
I was looking for the best of both worlds(foil and Ttip) from a kite
I decided the nexus 2 was a better choice for me, so I then exchanged both Alphas v2s for 2 core nexus v2 kites of 9mtr and 11mtr, it was an easy choice for me as I also use a chrono v4 11mtr as my ultimate light wind kite for my foil board, if I did not have the chrono then the 12 alpha v2 would have not been swapped for the nexus 11mtr, the boosting ability and turning speed of the nexus kites was the main reason for the nexus preference.

Thank you 'Foil' for your interesting and useful feedback. I am interested to know more about your experiences with the Alpha V2......
Can I assume that if you were going to use the kite for just foiling and no twin-tipping, you would have chosen the Alpha V2 over the Nexus?
Also, would you chose the Alpha V2 over the V1 (again, just for foiling and taking foil-kites out of the equation)? Is it worth upgrading from the V1? Thanks.

Last week still given September/October (2021!) delivery for the 14m Alpha V2 ordered early April this year. We shall see.

Also mentioned to me in passing that there is currently a "260 days lead time" from the Ozone factory in Vietnam. Image
