Rope/slider harness and below the bar depower

Postby kit3surfer » Sun Apr 11, 2021 2:18 pm

Hello,

are there any limitations or dangers when using a rope harnesse with below the bar trim (like slingy for example)?
Could the trim tangle around the rope? Did anybody experience this?

If you pull enough depower, yes it is possible. And anything that is possible has happened to someone in this sport. Lots of folks on the water lots of hours so everything possible has happened and since most folks don’t learn from others it will happen to someone again. Good for you to notice and ask about it. Try not to make it you that it happens to next.
I suppose either don’t pull very much depower with that setup or find a way to keep the end of the rope from flapping around? Maybe Velcro it to something out if the way that won’t interfere with the release? Don’t know, never tried it as I use the ATB.

around 320 he mentions what you said, which made me conscience of it .

You can always pickup a clamcleat and change to above bar depower , which i like more anyway
