Difficulty posting

Just aquired a new to me apple air2 tablet. It won’t stay logged in while drafting a post. The only way it will submit a post is if I copy re-log in, paste and submit. Life is too short for that, but has anybody got any tips before I give up?

No idea why.

Maybe try deleting cookies, them it might work again.

Or use another browser and see if that works...

Tried clearing cookies again and it made this post work. Obviously I will never know what the actual problem was, I’ll remain a dinossaur, thanks Toby!

Same happens to me when I am boondocking in the coastal mountains and have spotty cell reception with no wifi. I actually once made a post unknowingly that was only a partial thought, and nowherenear ready to post. I kept getting logged out and bailed on posting. Unbeknownst to me, the partial post went through because I pressed "submit" instead of "preview", but the "log in" screen came up immediately. The partial reply went through, and I did not know it till the next morning.

No idea what boondocking is but, it sounds fun. Interesting the login system worked for me for a short while after clearing cookies, but now the original problem has resurfaced.
So good bye and fair winds to everybody for at least a while.

Our local little lake has a "rustic" restaurant appropriately called Boondocks. Great for an after-session burger, fries, shake, and cobble.

Boondocking. I'm not sure where you are. There will be different definitions for different types of people (van campers, RVers, etc). Let me try and give you some examples. In the US, when you "camp" outside of a campground, say in the National Forest or Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land with no facilities, you are boondocking. You are camping for free. Sometimes there may be time limits or rules. Depends. Some RVers consider camping in a campground and paying a fee without hookups (elec, water, etc) to be boondocking. I think that is still camping and not boondocking. Maybe I am wrong.

When I go to a big city like San Francisco and park on a city street and sleep in my van, I am boondocking. Sleeping for free. Sometimes quietly and illegally.

When I am sleeping in my van overnight waiting to catch a ferry up in the Pacific Northwest near Vancouver, CA, I am boondocking.

I am sure others may chime in and give their definitions but I think you get the picture! When I am in Baja camping on the beach, I don't know if I am boondocking. To me, I am just camping?
