Hi,

I’d appreciate your eyes and ears to track this board down if you spot it.

Many many thanks

How/where/when "nicked"?

From the top of a car/van, inside a car/van, from a front or back garden, or what?

V sorry to hear this - check out EBay/Gumtree, plus any local car boot sales - Nomads are rare & will stick out like a sore thumb - worth asking any local low lifes - i did this & "recovered" all my nicked kit from some junkies a while back.

I’m going to try and do that. Tricky bit is they’re all in Peckham and a bit knify so the Mrs is not so keen. The hard bit is watching a video someone got of the bloke. Staggering about. Off his head, with my lovely board. God only knows what state it’s in.

Be careful, ideally find someone who knows the guy & location, if you attempt to recover, go with few handy mates & dont hang around

….or put it down to experience & get Simon to make you another one

…I think it will be the latter. It’s not a place to muck about in, and it’s replaceable after all. Thanks for listening, I think I needed that. 😀

So wholesome! Kite forum has it’s moments.

Sorry to hear dude. Theft sucks.

I empathize.

Me too. Never recovered any of the three boards and three kites stolen from my garage in Cape Town over a year ago now. Spent several months monitoring local Gumtree, Facebook, etc ads every day, plus contacted all the local kite shops. They probably just sold them for pennies to locals on the beach. I'll see if I recognize any of them next summer when I am there. All but one were unusual enough to be recognizable. Of course, that's the one I value the most, an Eleveight Master board with no distinctive features.

My sympathies, can you claim on insurance if it was locked in the car? I just decided to buy my demo Superleggera LW board from Simon which I can recommend although wouldn’t pay full price for! If you explained the situation I imagine he might do you a good deal though.
Not related but why does it look like there are screw holes in the bottom of the board??
