Duotone chickenloop

Postby jedi1 » Tue Aug 03, 2021 9:29 am

Hi,
Yesterday I have had a pretty unpleasant surprise, when I found out the my chickenloop doesn't fit the bar. I have a North bar 2018 (pre duotone era) and a 2019 Duotone chickenloop. It doesn't fit. I also have a 2021 Duotone bar with a 2021 chickenloop. The 2021 chickenloop fits both bars, the 2019 fits neither. Were the bars in 2019 different?

2019 chicken loop was very hard to install in their own bar. I mean, introduce the hook loop In the chiken loop was a tricky task for me. You had to do a lot of force to fit it. Maybe it is what is happening in your case.

That might be the case, it seems to not fit though, as it looks too wide. The chickenloop on the left goes inside without a problem, but the right one blocks itself. I gave it a little more force, but didn't want to break it.

If you touch the blue plastic is like rubber, so, it's not rigid. You can apply more force without break it. The problem is that 2019 hook has cone shape instead of cylinder shape that have the other years (I don't know why...) for that reason the first part It's harder to introduce. Try again applying a little more force while turning it a little bit.

Forcing the chickenloop in didn't quite help. I managed to get it inside only when removing the metal ring from the line. Now that I removed it though, I can't put it back. The pointy thing will not go through the line...

Yes, some of my chicken loops were a bit wider than the hole. I squeezed with force and it went through no problem. The rubber is elastic and it helps.

My line gets stuck at the bushing. I tried pushing through it, but for me it seems the dyneema line is too short.
