North Reach for freestyle foiling 15-20knots

Postby addictedtofoil » Sun Sep 19, 2021 7:51 am

Any feed back on the North Reach for freestyle foiling, booting jumps, drifting, carving chop?

How much does the kite weigh? 10/9/8m?

Thanks in advance

From personal experience, Duotone Dice and North Pulse would both be better for foil freestyle.

I love it for freeriding and boosting on foils. It's fast through the air and very reactive to the steering input. Light Wind relaunch is exeptionally good, which is important to me as I mainly use the 7 regardless of the wind.

The thing I love the most about it is how safe it loops. It always catches me, so I feel safe looping it on a foilboard.

The Pulse is great too, but it does not have the hangtime or the low end of the Reach. It is fun to boost and loop, but upwind manuvers like tacks get a bit more technical to execute.

This video is on the Reach 2021 7m

Great video and nice loops Gunnar!

I was thinking about the 8m, as I am heavier than you at 95-100kgs.
