Daily driver high performance twintip recommendations

Postby bramber3018 » Mon Oct 25, 2021 3:06 am

I'm looking to to get an everyday driver twintip (ie the one I use most of the time on 18 to 30 knots). Experienced rider of 15 years, 92.5 kg. I often ride in chop but am looking for a high performance board that can handle those conditions without being massively uncomfortable. I generally do maybe 30 % big air, 30% freestyle, 30% freeride in a typical session.

Any recommendations for a suitable board and size?

Cheers.

What do you mean by freestyle, unhooked tricks mainly or more hooked in?

Are you planning on using straps, boots or a mix?

I love my Raptor pro ltd. Light, fast, smooth in chop, and I personally think the construction is the best in the business.

Naish Monarchs are great, but they ride big. I would go a 135cm or 137cm, depending on if you spend more time in strong or lighter wind.

How do you find the raptor extreme goes in chop? Can you ride for a few hours without knee pain etc? What size do you think for my weight?

I haven't had any knee problem but the season hasn't really started here, I think I had one 2h session on it and a bunch of about 1h sessions.

I don't have any problem going through the chop (and I ride almost only in chop and waves).

I got the 132 and I'm about 75kg, maybe the 138 or the 140 for you.
