Big air and Freestyle board

Postby runner1 » Tue Nov 30, 2021 2:00 pm

Hi all,

I am looking for a new board for a mix of unhooked freestyle (with straps) in light winds and big air in stronger wind. Any suggestions? About 85kg and riding mainly flat water (at least for the freestyle)

Has anyone tried the Slingshot Asylum v5 and North Focus '21 back to back?

Cheers

Do a search, there's a thread that goes in depth on this subject.I'm thinking cf extreme would be a nice choice.

Thanks PJ, if it is the recent thread on a 'daily driver's you are referring to the question was different. The rider was not unhooking and chop eating was important so very different boards

Shinn Monk - 135cm would be perfect.

whatever you do get a carbon board. It doesn't matter when you unhook but when you are doing board offs your arm gets tired too quickly if the board is heavy. I don't think I've ridden those two boards yet.

A 135 für unhooked Freestlye in light winds with 85kg? Wouldn't be my first choice tbh

+1 for Core Choice 4

The Choice was built for exactly what you're looking for:
https://corekites.com/us/kite/boards/twintips/choice-4

You can boot it up, if desired down the road, for freestyle (has the reinforcements built-in) with the 6.0" spacing. It also supports 6.5" straps.
