Ozone reo v3 inflate valve fail

Postby vakiter » Wed Dec 01, 2021 8:00 pm

Hard to diagnose , as it’s hard to see under the Velcro. Would leak a little , and a leak a lot if I’m you torqued the valve when inflated

Welcome to the club.

Reos fly great, my best flying kites in many years, but I had to replace those valves in two diferente sizes last year. 6 and 8.

Also one of the valves that connects to the bladder for the same defect, not on the soft part of the bladder but on the hard plastic piece of the valve.

Hard to believe this failures in cheap plastic on such an expensive kite.

Anyway I ll stick to Reos, awesome flying kite for my taste.

Totally agree. They have a unique sharp feel .

But yeah it looks like a defect in the plastic , def not a delamination .

That all sounds like a quality control issue with different batches of valves. I ride Ozone for a while now and never had a problem with the valves. I ride my kites until they fall apart for good reason after a long and exciting life. ..
