Cape Town Hidden Gems?

Postby Barryg101 » Fri Sep 02, 2022 12:55 pm

I will be heading to Cape Town for the Season and looking for some tips on alternative spots to Kitebeach.
Are there some hidden gems with similar conditions as the busier spots?
Planning to rent a place for 4/5 months and would love to avoid the crowded spots if possible.

Appreciate your input :thumb:

The spots map on here is great, but also slightly "confusing" - so many spots it is difficult to separate the good from the not so good.

For 4-5 months I would say Misty Cliffs, Hermanus (if it is still good) and maybe Langebaan (Shark Bay if it is good wind there). Not exactly hidden gems, but fantastic spots.

With those spots you get a wide range of conditions. From flat (Shark Bay) to fairly "brutal" (at times) Misty Cliffs. Along with the normal Cape Town conditions at the beaches stretching from the city.
