I second that the Axis Limited is an amazing board I haven't found a better twintip yet and I tried many. It rocket's upwind and it's very smooth in choppy water despite being stiff and having an amazing pop! They just nailed it in terms of shape the perfect balance of rocker and sizing. I go faster with that board that I do on most of my foils but most of them are larger foils!
So Axis Limited not too rough on the knees?
It's not great to be honest. It does cut through chop really well, but being that stiff, light and flattish rocker you can expect a little more beating on your knees.
I'm not sure it's possible to have it all.

If I could find a new one again, I'd buy it.
What year? I've had three versions; 2014, 2015, 2018...? The last one is softer than previous, thicker, and has less aggressive channels. It's also bigger, so I *think* I like the 2015 better, but that may be an artifact of memory.

Tillman has been going fast for longer than most people here have been kiting, not just the glory peak speed but sustained 45-50 kt runs

The guy is silly fast

Tillman is really fast.
One of the fastest TT's is the Crazyfly Raptor Pro Carbon, low rocker, no channels and stiff.
Without toe side finns that slow all TT's down, and Xr4 kites no one has passed me for years on TT's.
I sold it last year, still regret it.
