I must agree, truly amazing performance and control, not that many crashes! With this extreme riding…great show!
And guess what…strictly hooked rules

Interesting to watch: All other guys were changing to smaller kites before attempting double loops, not so Giel Vlugt who was hammering doubles right away. Those Aluula Rises must be something special.

True, there was not a single high handle pass in any of the heats, was there? Lewis and Colin were expecting one every now and then while commentating, when a rider seemed to be working on his variety score, but then they'd rather switch kites and either go super big or go for double loops and s-loops.

It's cause it was blowing strong as f***.

Hasn't stopped others in the past, has it?

Anyhow, to me, it never felt like handle passes belong into such types of competitions as King of the Air anyway. I'd just have thought that e.g. Aaron Hadlow might be desperate enough to use them to try and counter double loops as far as the variety score was concerned.
PS: No need for further discussion of this point, as far as I am concerned.

Yes, adding drone was great.
Only the close up camera from the beach was bad…very shaky, they need better wind protection. But they could also leave this out, because it only showed the rider riding along…for tricks they used the wider angle to see the kiteloops.

The cool thing about being young and pushing it, not caring about getting hurt, only thinking about today. For us older normal folks and the greats that have been doing this a while know it's not a sprint, it's a job, a career. Great to see these young guys pushing it to the next level
