Made me chuckle a bit to see Jamie Overbeek get second place. Wasn’t very long ago I recall some people claiming he was making unrealistic claims about his own jumping ability…turns out he is just reaaalllly good!!
In the 365 podcast they said he'd never done a doobie board off before the Porsche pre-event and never tried any doubles. If true, that's insane.

I think it's his first time as well. Straight into 2nd place
I'm well impressed with performance of young riders
Shame Liam didn't get to the final. Done really well earlier
Congratz Jamie, well done

It was a really really great event. Congrats to all the riders.
A special mention to the commentary : they were really good and especially Lewis Crathern that brings a lot to the stream.
I thought that Liam and Giel were maybe a little bit more extreme/engaged than the other. But the most consistent rider over the all competition won.
As mentioned before, the interview of Beto with Ruben is great. It was also funny to watch Beto at the end of his semi final : he was so happy that Jamie thought Beto won. Beto told him : "No, you are the winner !" and Jamie just exploded ! Really great moments.
The sport has evolved soooo much in a year, it is incredible. And it is also due to the BAKL that has put those young riders in front of the scene.

I'm pretty sure he has done both as evident on the instagram

It was one of the best KOTA ever! Congratulations to Lorenzo !!! I think Liam and Beto had a little of bad luck in his semis series. I am very happy for Beto, because his a world class rider, as I predicted in 2020

A few things for the next year's event :
- a better and more objective/fair selection process. I know that KOTA is an invitational event, but it should only be based on the performance of the rider and not his "reputation" and sponsor affiliation (mainly Redbull).
- a female competition : the level is improving really fast. On this note, Angely just broke the Woo record with a 25.1 meter jump. Give her the Core prototype and she could be the first women to land a double loop !

He's been saying on his YouTube channel that they have been working on a double kite loop kite, the Edge didn't look fast enough. Although I thought I'd seen him do some doubles on the prototype kite ... but I can't be 100% sure. He's a monster kiter. Amazing.

Not remotely enough for the risk of injury.

Does anyone care about prizemoney or not?
I doubt anybody would, as money is not the incencitive to compete, for kitesurfers, but purely a symbolic "treat"
