Hi.

I'm interested in checking out patos potentially in brazil. Has anyone ever been? Wind looks quite good next week and the spot looks better then icarai. I just want 1 to 2m deep flat water and strong wind. Ilha do guajiru is quite expensive competitively.

I have been to Patos last week. The lagoon is amazing, especially on a medium water level. There is only one decent Pousada in Patos (Villa Aloha). If that is full I recommend staying in Icaraizinho and doing the downwind to the lagoon. You can enter the lagoon via the river mouth in Moitas.

Another option is to Stay in Almofala and kite there. Almofala has better infrastructure than Patos as it is very close to Itarema and has a big flat water lagoin without other kiters. You can also do an amazing down wind from Almofala to Ilha do Guajiru via a river.

1) How many knots of wind did you had in Patos ?.
2) Does the wind also blows in the morning ?.Or does the wind slowly get stronger during the day?.
3) is there transportation between villa aloha and the patos lagoon ?.

4) How long is the downwinder from Icaraizinho to the Patos lagoon ?. Can transportation be arranged from the patos lagoon back to Icaraizinho ?.

2) Yes, we had some good sessions at 10 in the morning
3) Yes, they bring people with a buggy. But on high tide the lagoon is very close to the Pousada
4) Around 15 km including the lagoon. You can arrange transport in Icaraizinho at the kite schools
