I heard between 10-15 million. US dollars.
As Naish probably have more retailers worldwide than most brands. There sup is massive and the windsurfing side is big as well.
That makes more sense he sold his house for 15 millions no way he was going to sell his company for 500K like someone said earlier in the thread! You can't buy a shed in Hawaii for 500K!
I think it is quite a bit higher than this too. A business like that would go for a multiple of discretionary earnings. It is just about impossible for us to speculate on this because it is a privately held company, and it highly depends on what is included in the sale, but I do not think it is inconceivable that this went for 2x to 4x of discretionary earnings. Personally. I think it depends on what we believe the foil and winging business will do. The 3 other verticals, windsurfing, SUPing, and Kiteboarding have plateaued...of course that the sports aren't growing as fast anymore doesn't mean you can't gain larger market shares, so it is entirely possible that the kiteboarding industry would (it should for the benefit of the sport) consolidate and that is, of course, an opportunity.

+1 for the Kitesurf 365 podcast with Robby. It provides a ton of insight on why this occurred.

Very nice interview from Adrian. And nice insights. Naish is a company to look out now for.
Happy if the main staff still can stay. Robby sounded like a fun boss to have.
And great he still stays actively involved in the company and sport, but can concentrate on the fun side only. I would call it perfect!
Congratulations Robby !

Yes, very good interview. Robby seems a lot more calm and relieved. It was also very interesting to hear his own perspective about the last few years and even considering himself as a "downer" for the company. At the launch of Reedin, Damien Girardin said, in an interview, that it was sometime dificult to work for/with Robby because "Robby is always busy being Robby".

Glad to hear it went down as it did. I admire Robby even more after this very open talk in this podcast.

Some of the comments on this thread concerning monetary value of Robby’s company are so cringe
“ A fool is someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing”

Godbless you Mr.Naish, very interesting bloke. I was shocked to hear Adrian laugh so hard at his vaccine injury. He was being so honest and sincere and to laugh at his heart problems being linked to the vaccine was kind of disgusting.

Adrian I think was trying to defuse any tension talking about vaccine conspiracy theories. He has tried to always steer the conversations back to kitesurfing. You can hear him redirect the conversation in his interview with the SpaceX crew when they talk about cryptocurrencies.
I doubt Adrian was trying to be disrespectful, the manner in which he reacted was even prompted a little by Robby’s “I don’t want to be one of those guys” comment. But I will concede he could have found a different way to steer the conversation back to kiting or perhaps inquire about how Robby feels without digging in to his personal medical details.
Still loved the podcast, and loved hearing from Robby. Looking forward to seeing him shred some more!
