Best glue for epoxy-rubber application?

Hi guys,
I've near to finish my helmet and a bit worried about gluing a rubber linings to epoxy edges?

Got some glue which says good for a bicycle tube but nah, doesn't work. Tried other one as well, I think it's 10 sec super glue. Nope. Can peel rubber off.
Well, getting expensive...What would you use?

Use a water prof contact glue or Loctite Power Glue with FlexTec. These have worked for fixing EVA to an epoxy board.

The stuff for bicycle tubes works by dissolving the rubber and then allowing for it to revulcanize, therefore it does not work when you need to stick rubber to a non-rubber surface.

Make sure to following instructions and clean the surfaces adequately. And of course apply pressure until the glue has set.

The rubber we use for snowboards which is mainly for vibration damping is treated to bond to epoxy. You can get it at snowboardmaterials,com. It's called VDS.

Contact cement usually works for me with rubber and painted or resin surfaces. Also, maybe silly to ask but is the epoxy too smooth? Is it free of blush?

it's not a VDS I'm after Got the rubber to glue on all around my carbon-kevlar helmet.

There is a commercial product that comes in the same type of tubes as caulking does. It is black in color, at least the one I saw was. It adheres to epoxy, and rubber. Unfortunately, that's all I know about it. This is definitely the key to what you want to do. I wish I knew more. It may possibly be an automotive industry product, but it wasn't in any of the retail shops I looked in. I am guessing it is used to stick on windshields, or the rubber weatherstripping on doors, but I don't know.

Here is an instructional for installing automotive weatherstripping adhesive, I think he's using a 3m product.
